You just had your child’s I.Q. tested and heard the word “Gifted”. Now what? Where do you go from here? What do you need to know?
Firstly you need to decide if you want your child’s school to know. Is he experiencing trouble at school? If so, make an appointment to speak to the headmaster, department head and his current teacher. The school doesn’t need to know your child’s I.Q. Tell them what your child’s strong and weak points are. Work with the school and decide how to enrich your child’s learning experience. Maybe a Soduku game after he’s done with his work, or a book to read for extra information about the topic the class is currently doing.
Now ask your child how he would like to spend his time. Is he interested in science/maths/arts/ect.
